Nikolay Alekseevich Bugriev was born on May 10, 1954 in the city of Ust-Dzheguta, Stavropol Territory (Russia).
He first turned to the Lord in a prayer of repentance at the harvest festival in 1967 at the age of 12.
On August 25, 1972 he was baptized and became a member of the ECB church in the village of Inozemtsevo, Stavropol Territory.
In 1975 he was elected youth leader.
In 1977 he entered the Stavropol Polytechnic Institute, but at the end of the third year, for reasons beyond his control, he was forced to leave the institute.
In 1978 he married Galina Fedorovna Vecherkovskaya.
Since 1989, he served in the village of Maryinskaya, at the same time organized a new church and served as a responsible presbyter in the Zheleznovodsk church, also attended churches in Blagodarny, in Aleksandrovsk and Novoseletsk.
In 1989, at the regional presbyter's meeting, he was elected evangelist for the Stavropol Territory.
On October 26, 1991, he was ordained to the presbytery ministry by the senior presbyter in the Stavropol Territory V.N. Vlasenko and presbyter of the Inozemtsevskaya church M.V. Kanishchev.
In 1993, he emigrated with his family to the United States, where he became a member of the First Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church in the city of Sacramento and for 14 years was an assistant to pastor Fyodor Petrovich Karpets. At the same time he served as a youth pastor, church administrator and was responsible for the missionary service in the church.
In 1998 he organized missionary trips to Magadan for children's camps, and also took part in charity work for the Magadan region.
In 2012, he opened a church in the city of Istanbul (Turkey) and ordained ministers there.
Took part in more than twenty missionary trips to different countries, including Russia, Moldova, Australia, Italy, Portugal, Haiti, Mexico, Germany, Ukraine and others
In 1998, at the congress of the Pacific Association of Baptist Churches, he was elected a member of the Committee and headed the newly organized missionary department at the Association.
In October 2006, at the 69th Congress, he was elected chairman of the Pacific Association of ECB Churches. For eight years he served as the chairman of the TO, then he was deputy chairman for two years. During ten years of ministry, twelve new churches were accepted, fourteen new departments were opened, four houses were acquired, a Pacific Thrift Store was opened, a Sierra Pines Camp was acquired, and two plots of land near the camp were acquired.
Since 2007, he organized a new Rockland Baptist Church. By 2021, the church has grown to 550 members.
In August 2009 he defended his thesis of the Master of Theology (M.Div). 2015 to 2020 studied at the International Theological Seminary, Florida, USA under the Doctor of Theology (Ph.D.) program. Graduated from Biblical Studies in 2020.
He takes an active part in missionary service and evangelistic services both in America and abroad.
Together with his wife Galina, they raised six children. All children took part in mission trips. At the moment, all children already have their own good Christian strong families. The sons and husband of the eldest daughter are ministers of different churches. Happy grandfather of 17 grandchildren.
